THE APPEAL

The faster and more powerful GT200 of 1963 (TV200 in Europe) was built as an export model only, and was aimed squarely at the more overtly sporting and boisterous British riders. The high power and consequent stronger performance made it an instant hit with UK scooterists, and the model went on to be sold in France, Switzerland, Scandinavia and the States.
Introduced in 1966, the SX was a step up in all respects to Innocenti’s previous models. The model is held in high regard by Lambretta aficionados and the wider scooter fraternity.

SUMMARY

A fine and interesting example of a sort-after variant of one of Lambretta’s iconic models. The period modifications probably make it even more desirable. With a comprehensive rebuild and not many miles ridden since, this scooter has much to commend it. British-registered 200cc Lambrettas are extremely rare and it coming from a knowledgeable and conscientious collector is an added bonus.
