- Jaguar XK 4.2-litre inline-six engine

The Appeal
If Ronart designer Arthur Wolstenholme hadn’t visited the Daimler-Benz museum, there would be no W152. There, he spotted the firm’s W154 and 196 racers and an idea formed. The W152 is well-engineered and loving homage to those 50s and 60s front-engined racers and blends influences from those Mercedes car,s plus the Maserati 250F, Vanwall and HWM Jaguars.
That it does so effectively is proven by this British Racing Green example. It was hand-built in the late 1990s on 1973 Jaguar running gear and has recently emerged onto the market after 16 years in a private collection. Beneath the lengthy bonnet is a Jaguar XK 4.2L straight six mated to a 4-speed manual box. The Rpnart is surprisingly practical - there are two seats and even a small boot.
The car is in fine shape. There are a few cosmetic marks to note to the paintwork. Due to lack of use, it would benefit from a check over and service, but we are told it starts and runs. With less than 140 W152s built, here is a chance to channel some classic racing style in a very usable two-seater.
