Intended as the ultimate version of the Tipo 105 platform, the Alfa Romeo Montreal was unveiled in concept form at Canada's Expo 67. Designed by Marcello Gandini at Bertone, and equipped with a slightly detuned version of the DOHC, dry-sump V8 used in the 33 Stradale. Unlike the other cars in the 105 series, the Montreal was intended as a long-distance GT, fitted with SPICA fuel injection and a cosseting cabin. The styling is another Gandini triumph, similar and in our view equal to his work on the Lamborghini Miura a few years before.
This 1975 example presents an exciting opportunity for collectors. Although it requires some mechanical tuning due to being stationary for a period, this Alfa's rarity and well-preserved condition make it worthy of any collection.
