Vendor supplied images

Highlights

  • Highly original UK supplied early Le Mans
  • Restored to a fantastic standard during current ownership, while preserving much of its original paint
  • Benefits from several discreet mechanical upgrades and a recent service

The Appeal

After the Honda CB750 was officially proclaimed a ‘superbike’, rival manufacturers were quick to follow suit, and in typically Italian fashion, Moto Guzzi’s offering was to be a strong contender for the most stylish superbike of the 1970s and ‘80s. With styling that combined rakishness with muscularity, it certainly looked the part and customers soon found that its 850 cc transverse V-twin and smooth shaft drive configuration made for an unequivocally fine riding experience.

We’re delighted to offer this commendably original and well restored early example which was supplied brand new to the UK in 1976. Still displaying original paint on its fuel tank and bodywork, it has clearly been well looked after over the years and the recent sympathetic restoration has ensured it will continue to grace the roads for many years to come. A few subtle mechanical upgrades have also been carried out using components from leading performance specialist sincluding Koni, Strohl and Agostini.

Don’t miss this excellent opportunity to add an early and well sorted Moto Guzzi Le Mans to your collection.
