1983 Mercedes-Benz W123 230E

  • Very low mileage of under 77,000 miles
  • Desirable 2.3litre fuel injected model
  • Recent £4,000 investment in bodywork
  • Recently achieved Historic Vehicle status
  • Original and unmodified W123 saloon

The Appeal

In uncertain times there is always the W123, the classic saloon with the hewn from stone reputation. These cars are so good and so durable that many remain in daily use, 40 years after the last cars left the production line.
This original and unmodified 230E has been barely used in recent years, but it looks ready for whatever can be thrown at it. That is partly thanks to the very low mileage - which translates into a good state of preservation - and also to a recent £4,000 investment in the bodywork.
Finished in popular Thistle Green metallic and equipped with that desirable 2.3litre engine - which blends performance and economy in equal measure - this W123 is ready for trips with family and friends or shows. Or both. It recently became eligible for Historic Vehicle status, which cuts the tax bill and makes it suitable for city use.
