THE APPEAL
Considered by many Alfisti to be the last true Alfa Romeo as its project was designed before the Arese company's entry into the FIAT group and being the last rear-wheel drive Alfa for the next twenty years, the Alfa 75 was launched in 1985 as the heir to the Giulietta from which much of its appreciated mechanics were derived.
The sharp and squared lines and the wedge-shaped silhouette, with the sloping front and high tail, underlined by the distinctive black plastic strip that runs along the entire belt line, aroused great admiration and effectively emphasized its nature as a sedan with a sporty heart.
Equipped in the first years with the classic Alfa twin-cam engines powered by two double-barrel carburettors with an unmistakable and harmonious sound and excellent performance, the 75 welcomed the driver with a modern and highly suggestive cabin, with a linear and well-equipped dashboard, which houses the warning lights and the auxiliary controls in a central satellite and with the electric window controls moved to the characteristic switch panel on the headliner.
This beautiful and solid Alfa 75 is equipped with the 110 horsepower 1.6-liter engine with two double-barrel carburettors, preferred by enthusiasts for its engaging intake sound and great reliability.
Coming from a private collection, it has rarely been used in recent years but has been conscientiously preserved and kept in a good state of efficiency.
The braking system has been overhauled and new front discs and pads have been installed.
The valve cover gasket has been replaced.
The paint has been touched up in some areas and the bumpers have been repainted.
In the passenger compartment, the headliner has been replaced.
This Alfa 75 is registered with ASI (Italian Historic Automobiles Registry), has obtained a Certificate of Historical Relevance (CRS) and enjoys all the benefits provided in Italy for historic vehicles.
Sound and well presented, this 75 allows us to admire in their utmost purity the unforgettable lines of this important and coveted model with constantly rising prices.
The exterior is in very good condition, with its rare, bright white original paintwork and nice original alloy wheels.
Inside, all surfaces appear intact and clean, with a well preserved dashboard and good upholstery on the comfortable seats and on the door panels.
The steering wheel, gear lever and the distinctive handbrake handle show no damage or discolouration.
This Alfa 75 will attract the attention of collectors of the brand looking for a well-preserved example and of the enthusiasts who want to experience the thrill of getting behind the wheel of an efficient, easy and economical to manage old school Alfa Romeo, to appreciate its legendary driving qualities.

SUMMARY
The latest evolution of some of the most important models in Alfa Romeo's long history, the 75 traces its origins, through the Giulietta, the Alfetta and the 1750, to the iconic Giulietta of the 1950s.
Its bodywork with an iconic and attractive design, hides sophisticated mechanics.
With a fantastic, powerful twin-cam engine with an unmistakable sound, it allows brilliant performance and a dynamic and reactive driving experience, thanks to the rear-wheel drive and to the optimal weight distribution obtained with sophisticated solutions such as the transaxle gearbox and inboard brakes, mounted on the chassis of the vehicle rather than directly on the wheel hubs.
Much loved by Alfisti, for whom it represents a trait d'union with the glorious past of the brand, its prices are constantly rising.
This Alfa 75, well presented and in a good state of maintenance, easy to manage and with a sure collectible future, could be an excellent vehicle with which to enter the world of vintage cars, taking part in the increasingly frequent gatherings dedicated to youngtimers, discovering its great driving qualities and enjoying the inimitable sound of its glorious engine.
