THE APPEAL
Sold between 1995 and 2003 as a coupè or spider, the Alfa Romeo GTV 916 was one of the most successful sports cars for the glorious Italian manufacturer.
With a futuristic and impressive design penned by Enrico Fumia for Pininfarina and fascinating interiors designed by Walter de Silva, the GTV was as a true Italian-style 2+2 granturismo with high-level performance and an excellent road holding, thanks to the sophisticated multilink rear suspension, never adopted before on an Italian production car.
Its design is extremely aerodynamic, with a short and aggressive front characterized by small double circular headlights, a slanted windscreen and a compact and low passenger compartment, framed by the marked ascending belt line that goes up to the tail.
The cabin recalls the sporty Alfa Romeos of the past. The center console with three driver-oriented indicators, the sporty twin-binnacled instrument cluster and the comfortable seats with deep side bolsters create a suggestive atmosphere, encouraging spirited driving.
Contrary to most of its competitors, the GTV allowed for two additional passengers on the rear seats, making it more versatile and practical.
This GTV was sold new in 1996 in London, where it was entrusted to the care of a specialized Alfa Romeo workshop, which carried out all the scheduled services, correctly reported in the maintenance booklet.
In 2012, the car followed its owner in his relocation to Italy and was purchased by the seller, who did not nationalize it but always kept it with care, starting it regularly to ensure its efficiency.
Equipped with a full leather interior and its original alloy wheels in good condition, this GTV still has English number plates and papers and has only been driven for 60,000 miles.

Originally sold in Great Britain and purchased from the seller in Italy in 2012, this GTV comes with English papers and number plates.
The transfer of ownership was correctly communicated to the Driver and Vehicle Licensing Agency (DVLA), but the car has never been nationalized in Italy.
It underwent the last MOT inspection in Great Britain in 2011.
This GTV is equipped with its perfectly preserved original use and maintenance manuals, the service booklet with indication of all the services performed and double keys.
