The Appeal
Lowering a convertible roof is amongst the most effective methods of enhancing the experience of driving.
This 2004 BMW 318Ci SE offers the joys of open top motoring, coupled with the practicality of four seats and BMW's economical 2-litre petrol engine.
Presented in lovely condition, with relatively low mileage and in a great colour combination, this BMW is a convertible that you could realistically use every day.

- Air conditioning
- Multifunction sports steering wheel
Inside, this BMW is a lovely place to be with the sand beige interior giving the cabin a light and airy feel, regardless of whether the roof is raised or lowered.
The factory air conditioning still functions and features automatic climate control. The vendor informs us that the driver’s seat has been refurbished at some point to a high standard.
It matches the remainder of the interior well, both in colour and finish. A nice touch is the optional multifunction sports steering wheel which shows some signs of wear but no damage we could see.
There is some minor damage in the rear of the interior, including some small nicks in the back of the front passenger seat and on the rear passenger armrest.
There is also a crack in the driver’s side door speaker, although the stereo and CD changer still function correctly. The carpeting and boot are both very clean and tidy, with little wear to speak of.
Overall, this BMW has a smart, serviceable interior with only a few minor blemishes.
The Exterior
- Mystic Blue
- Smart alloy wheels
- Blue soft top roof in good order
On the outside, this 318Ci is very well presented, finished in Mystic Blue which really complements the sand beige interior.
The soft top roof works well and we couldn’t see any signs of UV damage. The 7-spoke alloy wheels are also in fine order, as are the tyres which all have a fair quantity of tread remaining.
Underneath, this BMW looks to be particularly smart.
Overall, the condition of this BMW’s exterior belies its age and we particularly like the colour combination.
The Mechanics
- 2-Litre, 4 cylinder petrol engine
- Manual gearbox
- Clean and tidy under bonnet
The vendor informs us that this 318Ci drives very well, accelerating, changing gear and stopping exactly as it should.
This example is particularly clean and tidy under the bonnet, which demonstrates how carefully looked after this car has been.
Summary
If open top motoring is your thing, then this 318Ci would be a great proposition.
The Mystic Blue / Sand Beige colour combination is particularly tasteful and the car’s great overall condition means it will be a great convertible roadster for years to come.
