THE APPEAL
First introduced in 1984, the Suzuki GSX-R has been providing a two-wheel thrill and track-like experience for riders brave enough to surrender to their desires. The GSX-R1000 came along in 2001, bringing a new liquid-cooled 999cc engine, with newly designed pistons, a new lower crown and a gear-driven counterbalancer.
As each year rolled by, Suzuki kept enhancing and improving the bike, with redesigned engines, chassis and running gear all in the pursuit of more speed and a better race-like ride. In 2007 the seventh variant, K7 was released, a significantly upgraded GSX-R1000 with a new exhaust system, improved aerodynamics and a fast-revving engine.
With missile-like performance, the GSXR-1000 has concreted itself as one of the best sports bikes to grace the road and track and to commemorate one the most iconic motorbike races in the world, the Isle of Man TT, 150 limited edition K7’s were produced. Equipped with a red and silver colour scheme, additional graphics and tope yoke plates, plus a titanium Yoshimura GP Evo II exhaust silencer and Double Bubble Screen the bike brings all the GSXR sensation you would expect, with a distinctive look and much louder soundtrack.
Presented in excellent condition with a good mechanical record, this example is number 42 of the 150 produced and is accompanied by a certificate of authenticity and improved benchmarks thanks to a specialist remap. Available and ready to enjoy immediately, this special edition GSX-R would make a brilliant summer toy or collector's piece.
