The Appeal
The Volkswagen T25 Transporter remains one of the most characterful and sought-after camper vans of its generation. Practical, charming, and endlessly versatile, a well-sorted example offers a wonderful way to enjoy weekends away and longer adventures alike.
This 1986 example has benefited from a comprehensive refurbishment carried out by the previous owner, who is said to have never used the van once the work was completed. The current owner purchased it approximately two years ago and reports only light use since, with annual MOTs throughout. A recent repaint has given the bodywork a fresh appearance, and the vendor states the van is in very good condition. The camper interior is well-equipped, and the sale includes a generous selection of extras detailed below.
The vendor says:
"A fun-to-drive camper, not the fastest on the motorway or up steep hills, but that's part of the enjoyment. A lovely paint job that gets noticed and commented on wherever we go. Starts every time and had a replacement main battery about a year ago."IMG_2933 Andrew Moore.jpeg11.56 MB

✓ We also check whether vehicles are recorded as being written off as part of an insurance total loss claim at the time an advert is placed on Car & Classic and we helpfully provide write-off category labels (Cat C/D/S/N) for your assistance. However, the presence or absence of a label does not guarantee the vehicle’s status and it is always worthwhile carrying out your own full vehicle history check before making an offer on a vehicle.
