The Appeal
The Jaguar XJS Convertible is one of the great British grand tourers; a deeply aspirational car that paired effortless long-distance cruising with open-air elegance. With its sweeping lines and refined character, the drop-top XJS remains a highly sought-after classic, and well-sorted examples are increasingly difficult to find.
This particular car has been the subject of a careful two-year recommissioning by its previous owner, having spent over two decades laid up in storage. The work has been thorough and sympathetic: brakes and tyres have been replaced, the alloy wheels professionally restored, and the headlining renewed. The convertible hood is reported to be in full working order, and the car has been undersealed at some point in its life, which has clearly contributed to its preservation over the years. The result of this considered approach is a car that's ready and waiting to go.
