The Appeal
The Toyota Land Cruiser is a vehicle recognised for its durability and off-road capabilities - something that's carried through multiple generations of the utility vehicle with remarkable grace. To this day, it's arguably one of the best-reputed off-roaders out there.
The lighter-duty vehicles are often overlooked, which is more the pity - the smaller Cruisers are easily the car's bread and butter, with the J90s, introduced in 1996, proving particularly well-regarded. Sold as the Land Cruiser Colorado in the UK, they certainly fit the moniker - these imposing off-roaders would probably traverse the Rockies without little complaint.
This specific example of the Colorado upholds the Land Cruiser's reputation. It has been well-maintained, regularly serviced at independent garages, and comes with a file of invoices. The bodywork, interior, and paintwork all appear in smart condition for its age, and it's equipped with a tow bar and electrics, including the cow-bell connectors. The result is a particularly versatile modern classic that's still lesser-spotted and eminently interesting.
