The Appeal
The V70 R sits at the top of Volvo's performance estate lineage; a 300 bhp, all-wheel-drive wagon combining the marque's trademark practicality with a turbocharged five-cylinder engine, Brembo brakes, and the clever Four-C adaptive suspension. Finished in Sonic Blue, a colour synonymous with the R badge, it remains one of the most recognisable fast estates of its era.
This example shows just 35,363 miles, a figure supported by its extensive MOT and service history, which has been carried out by Volvo main dealers and specialists. It has passed through only two former registered keepers before the current owner acquired it in July 2024, and comes with an owner's book pack, service book, and a history file containing an extensive run of MOT certificates and invoices. Inside, the two-tone beige and black leather cabin is complemented by the R's blue chronograph-style instrument dials and silver trim elements.
Its current MOT is valid until June 2027, achieved on a first-time pass with no advisories. The sale also includes a Volvo-branded Citizen Quartz WR100 watch in stainless steel with a white dial.
