Top-of-the-range Sovereign specification with the 3.0-litre V6 and all-wheel drive

The Appeal
The Jaguar X-Type estate has quietly earned a loyal following among those who appreciate a practical Jaguar with genuine character. Rarer than its saloon sibling and arguably the more handsome car, the estate offered a distinctive silhouette that set it apart in the executive segment. In range-topping Sovereign trim and powered by the smooth 3.0-litre V6 driving all four wheels through a five-speed automatic gearbox, this is the X-Type in its most complete and capable form.
This 2006 example shows 108,500 miles and presents well both inside and out, according to the vendor. All waist-high window seals have been replaced, and with 231bhp from that V6 channelled through Jaguar's all-wheel-drive system, we're told it remains great fun to drive.
For those seeking a well-sorted, usable modern Jaguar estate in a desirable specification, this Sovereign warrants close attention.image.png1.53 MB
