The Appeal
Thanks to its remarkable retractable hard top, the R230 is a refined grand touring coupé that transforms into an open-top cruiser at the touch of a button. This was a technically advanced, highly capable roadster that offered no compromise between coupé refinement and the thrill of al fresco motoring, with the swathe of hard-as-nails engines providing a smooth, effortless power delivery that suits the car's character perfectly.
This particular SL350 is finished in the rare and eye-catching Thulite Red, a colour the vendor tells us looks fantastic in the sun. Showing 60,500 miles across three former registered keepers, it benefits from a major service carried out in February 2026, and the engine has been remapped, resulting in new power figures of 300bhp and 380Nm torque. Fuel efficiency has been increased by 10-15%. The generous specification and a long MOT make for a truly fine summer tourer. image.png1.19 MB
