The Appeal
The 2015 model year Vanquish holds a special place in the nameplate's history: it was the first to receive the ZF Touchtronic III eight-speed automatic transmission, a change widely praised for transforming the car's real-world drivability and sharpening its already formidable performance. The Carbon Black Edition took things further still, stripping away chrome in favour of exposed carbon fibre and gloss-black detailing to create a darker, more menacing take on Aston Martin's flagship grand tourer. With only 63 UK Carbon Black cars, it is a genuinely uncommon machine.
This particular two-owner example has reportedly been dry-stored throughout its life, which goes a long way to explaining its strong overall presentation. It features the correct edition-specific touches, including a carbon fibre roof panel, front splitter, side strakes, mirror caps, rear diffuser and side sill blades, along with gloss-black alloy wheels with diamond-cut accents. Inside, the Obsidian Black leather cabin is lifted by red piping, carbon fibre fascia trim and the 1,000-watt Bang & Olufsen BeoSound audio system. Heated and ventilated front seats, cruise control, satellite navigation and parking sensors round out a generous factory specification.
The vendor notes a few small scratches to the front carbon fibre lip and minor wear to the driver's seat and interior trim, but beyond these honest observations, the car looks in very good order throughout. It comes to market with an advisory-free MOT, an indoor car cover, a battery conditioner and supporting invoices. The vendor also notes it will be serviced by Aston Martin before delivery. For anyone seeking a properly rare, one-keeper Aston Martin V12 grand tourer with real presence and collector appeal, this Vanquish Carbon Black Edition warrants serious attention.
