1965 Greeves 250 cc Works ISDT Bike Registered MEV8C on the 24/ 5/ 1965 , Ridden by "Trish Sharp" 1965 Manx ISDT and 1966 Sweedish ISDT gaining a silver medal in the latter . One of 4 works entrants MEV 7 , MEV 8 , MEV 9 and MEV 10 . The vendor states the Greeves is 90% original with the original engine it left the factory with . Both frame and engine numbers match the original green log book (Supplied) and the current V5C . The former keeper tells us the Greeves has the original strengthened ISDT forks , Original handle bars "High tensile steel" which are 1" tube steeped down to 7/ 8 for the twist grip throttle . Original Dunlop high tensile steel rims fitted with new period pattern Dunlop tyres , The full width hubs have had the fins machined out leaving only only one rib on the brake drum side . The former keeper informs us that marque specialist "Terry Silvester" has rebuilt the engine as follows , New piston , New piston rings , New bearings and seals , New primary chain and Heavy duty clutch . A new chain and sprockets are fitted and the cycle parts refurbished . Started and running upon arrival . Presented as authentically as possible and in beautiful condition .
