The MG TD was the first of MG's post-war T-types to see a big development, and by all accounts, it was revolutionary to the lineage's comfort. While it maintained those evocative pre-war-style lines (much to the delight of the American market) it carried an independent suspension on front axle and a new chasses, all taken from the popular Y-Type saloon.
This particular 1950 example has been meticulously restored through a comprehensive nut-and-bolt restoration in 2010, which included removing the body from the chassis and rebuilding the engine. Originally purchased by the current owner's father, a lifelong mechanic, the car was transferred to the current owner in 2017 and is now being offered for sale following the father's passing in 2024. It's a very handsome example indeed, and has covered very little mileage in the past 15 years. Not one to be missed!
