The Appeal
If you find yourself humming ‘Quando Quando Quando’ as you peruse the photos of this majestic Silver Cloud II, then it is with good reason. Its first keeper was Arnold Dorsey, better known as ‘Release Me’ hitmaker Engelbert Humperdinck.
Since 1990 the car has been part of the Lord Cars wedding fleet, with all the implications for high end maintenance and careful use that implies. We are told that it has also featured in various TV and film productions. Naturally it is finished in white with green interior, a combination that offers plenty of commercial scope for the buyer.
The condition is impressive as you would expect of a hardworking commercial classic. Mechanically, it is in great order, helped by over £24,000 invested since 2017, including engine and gearbox overhaul. The invoices for this work extend to several pages of description and can be checked in the photos. We are also told that the bodywork has recently been refreshed.
Good Silver Clouds make a great addition to any private or commercial garage. This one is amongst the best-maintained we’ve seen in a long time.
