The mark of any truly iconic piece of automotive design is where a single panel instantly gives away the car from which it is taken. This Aston Martin DB5 front end perfectly achieves this and even those with no more than a passing interest in cars will likely know exactly what they’re looking at.

Immortalised as the gadget-ladened transport of Britain’s favourite fictional spy, the DB5 is the quintessential Aston Martin and surviving examples are highly sought after by collectors. This front end has served its purpose as an integral part of one of these legendary cars and has now been removed. 

It would make a fabulous conversation piece and could be refinished in the colour of your choice or even left exactly as it is. As the perfect adornment for your garage wall or perhaps even to be utilised as a quirky piece of furniture, this piece of Aston Martin history is not to be missed.

We really enjoy how this front end has been stripped right back to bare metal as you can see exactly how it was made. All the welding and seams are entirely on show as is some evidence of past repairs, meaning that this piece really tells a story. You can clearly make out where those covered headlamps used to be fitted along with that long thin radiator grille. 

The metalwork itself presents well and has clearly been carefully removed from the remainder of the vehicle. There are of course a number of small dents and imperfections but we feel this adds to the provenance. There is a little corrosion in one of the corners but this is by no means excessive. Overall, the piece presents really well and exhibits great patina.

 

This is a fabulous piece of automobilia and for Aston Martin enthusiasts, surely a must-have accessory.
