The Appeal

The Fiat 600D is a charming and practical Italian city car that played a significant role in post-war European motoring. Powered by a rear-mounted 767cc inline-four engine, it offered modest performance but excellent fuel economy, making it ideal for urban use. The "D" model featured front-hinged doors (a shift from the earlier "suicide" doors), improved cooling, and a slightly more spacious interior. Its simple, rounded design and clever packaging helped it gain popularity across Europe, symbolising affordable mobility for the masses.

This charming example was purchased by the vendor from classic car specialists Belvoir Cars in 2021. Since then, the car is said to have been well maintained, with many new parts fitted, ensuring this Italian city car of the ’60s continues to thrive in modern-day life.

The window seals are free from perishing, however there is a small split in the rear window seal
The steel wheels are in good condition and finished with chrome hubcaps.
All four tyres have a good amount of tread remaining
The interior is in excellent condition
Finished in Raw Sienna with black piping
Both door cards are in good order with no scuffs or damage noted
Switchgear is minimal but said to be working correctly
The odometer shows a reading of 57,396 kilometres
The original two-spoke steering wheel is in excellent condition
The cabin carpet is in good condition with no signs of excessive wear
Inside the boot is clean and tidy
Vinyl mat is in place, along with the spare wheel, jack, and tool kit
