The Appeal

The Triumph Spitfire is one of Britain's most beloved small sports cars, offering open-top motoring in a compact, nimble package. Using the Herald's excellent underpinnings and employing the timeless talents of Michelotti when it came to styling, the Spitfire got an awful lot right, and offered a certain level of glamour compared to its relatively straight-laced contemporaries.
