The Appeal

Porsche didn’t quite pioneer the Targa, but it certainly took the idea of a removable hard top mainstream. It is an innovation that makes the early 911 much more versatile and is a popular choice for those who enjoy summer touring.

This sunny yellow 1971 911T fits right into that theme. It was restored in 2003, including engine work, and presents now in very tidy and usable condition. The matching yellow Fuchs alloys ensure the car certainly stands out. We are told that the car is fitted with a more powerful version of the 2.2L air cooled flat six than was originally fitted to 911T cars.

The car spent its life in Canada until arriving in France some years ago. The vendor acquired the car in 2021 and has invested in overhauling the brakes and, suspension plus regular servicing.

The car has covered few miles since the last service in March 2024. It comes to market with the useful transparency of a Controle Technique valid to November 2029.
