The Appeal
Penned by Karmann, resulting in a marked visual departure from its Michelotti predecessors, the Triumph TR6's harder-edged styling matched the changing zeitgeist as the swinging '60s gave way to the grittier '70s. Under the skin, the TR6 was developed under strict financial instructions, and thus wasn't exactly a reinvention of the wheel. Of course, it also didn't have to be. Triumph had cemented itself as one of the best of the best when it came to the classic British sports car, and the TR6 continued that reputation ably. It's arguably the easiest of its class to own, and still offers pure, undeniably fun driving for the modern enthusiast.
This example presents well, having been fully restored in the early nineties and then carefully preserved under dry storage. With minimal mileage covered during the intervening years, it's just the thing to add to your garage with summer just around the corner. The current owner has changed the fluids and sorted a couple of minor electrical gremlins in readiness for the car's next custodian.
