The Appeal
The Corvette Stingray is the stuff of legend. Chevy got everything right with this one - a big V8 powerplant, remarkable slicked back styling and a cabin that felt like it came from an airliner - loaded with dials and tactile instruments. This was a car with a real sense of occasion from end-to-end, and one that quickly became one of the most iconic US cars in history.
This 1976 example captures that commanding Corvette character ably, in the car's near-quintessential red livery with plenty of originality on show. Imported to the UK in 2013, this red Stingray is ready and waiting to go. There are few classics with this kind of charisma, and few quite so rewarding behind the wheel.
