The Appeal

The Mini Van was, for a while, cheaper to own than the already thrifty Mini, and soon carved out a bit of a reputation for raw practicality. You still got all of the perky character of the base car, economic running costs and nimble handling, but that surprisingly cavernous rear bay offered a perfect space for everyone from a home tinkerer to a TV repair shop...

This particular 1981 van stands out for its eye-catching Castrol Oils livery and John Cooper bonnet stripes, which lend the van a rather sporty character. Having been part of a West Country Mini collection and with just two former registered keepers, this Mini Van is now in need of a new owner who can bring it back to the road. We expect it'll prove a very rewarding classic.
