The Appeal
We likely don’t need to sell you on the multifold appeal of the R107 Mercedes-Benz, particularly when, as here, it is fitted with the 5L V8 engine. Instead, we’ll concentrate on what makes this car genuinely stand out from the wide choice available on the market.
The car has been in the same family since new, firstly with the vendor’s grandfather before he inherited it. It has spent time in Greece and Germany before relocating recently to Romania. Throughout that time, it has been regularly serviced and maintained and subject to two major restorations, firstly in 2005 and then again in 2023. The recent work included a full repaint in fetching dark blue metallic and extensive mechanical work including brakes, suspension, engine repairs and fuel injection system overhaul.
The car is beautifully presented with its ‘Gullideckel’ alloys and sumptuous tan leather interior. Fitted with factory rear seat and matching hard top, this is a great example of the V8-powered R107 with fascinating provenance.
