The Appeal
The Porsche 924 ruffled a few feathers when it rolled out of Stuttgart. Being their first front-engined, water-cooled production car, it was quite a break from their established practice, but these days is oft-credited with saving the company. With its balanced weight distribution, practical hatchback design, and responsive handling, the 924 delivered an accessible, amicable entry into the marque for many, and for our money is one of the most interesting decisions the company produced back in the eighties. It's easy on the eyes, it's fast and it's beautifully styled - what more could you want?
This 1985 example has clearly been well-maintained throughout its life, with comprehensive service records and a history of regular maintenance. The current owner has invested over £1,000 in recent mechanical work, focusing on the fuel system to ensure reliable operation. It's a highly original car, and we expect the lucky buyer will find no chore in taking it under their wing. image.png4.12 MB
