The Lotus Excel SE was one of the more practical yet still thoroughly engaging sports cars from the iconic British manufacturer. Combining the handling prowess Lotus is renowned for with genuine 2+2 practicality, the Excel SE features the robust Toyota-sourced transmission paired with Lotus's own 2.2-litre twin-cam engine. These cars boast a galvanised steel backbone chassis and fibreglass bodywork, so are highly resistant to corrosion.
This 1987 example has recently undergone comprehensive recommissioning. Having benefited from a thorough service costing £1,468, this Excel SE is reportedly ready to be enjoyed.
