The Appeal
For a car that was once close to extinction just a few short years after entering production, the XJ-S went on to live for 21 years and outsell the E-Type. Today, these long, low and lithe GTs have few equals when it comes to comfortable, effortless classic motoring.
This 1990 XJ-S HE is one of the last of the pre-facelift models, so it retains the desirable chrome and distinctive ‘delta’ rear lights, plus the more delicate interior switchgear. It mixes well-kept rare Sapphire Blue paintwork with a very smart Doeskin leather cabin piped and carpeted in blue. The vendor tells us that the car features the desirable Sports Pack, which provides lower, stiffer suspension.
As you might expect of a car owned by a Jaguar Drivers Club member since 2017, it is in very good condition. The maintenance records amassed by its five keepers show similar care. The car has been in dry storage until recently, when we were told that it was recommissioned prior to sale. The MOT runs to August 2026 with no advisories. image.png2.09 MB
