The Appeal
If you’ve never driven a 205 GTI, here’s your chance. If you have, you’ll need no persuading. These cars bring driving alive in a way few cars before or since have achieved.
With values of these highly sought-after road rockets skyrocketing, here is a chance to get in on the tail-happy action with a two keeper, fully historied car in very solid and presentable condition. There is scope to improve it, of course, but a MOT doesn’t lie - an independent assessor gave it a full ticket with no advisories last October.
The car has been in the hands of the same keeper since 1999 and is an exceptionally reluctant sale. During that time it has been serviced twice a year. Recent work has included welding to sills and under bonnet and a new boot floor.
Fully factory standard, this remarkable little car is ready to enjoy by its first new keeper in 25 years.

The vendor tells us:
“This is such great little car to drive. It's great fun and really zippy, as you would expect. I love this car and I really don't want to sell, but I'm struggling to justify keeping it as it’s not getting used enough. It's been such a reliable and fun car and I will be very sad to see it go.”
