Toyota’s mighty four-wheel-drive series of Land Cruisers has earned itself a legendary reputation, renown for reliability, practicality, and its fantastic off-road capabilities. 

The Land Cruiser originates from the Korean war era and was initially put into development to meet the demand for military utility vehicles, similar to the Series 1 Land Rover.

Over the years, the robust Land Cruiser was slowly adapted to better suit the general public and has since become Toyota’s longest-running series of models. This particular vehicle belongs to the 80 Series (J80) of Land Cruisers, which introduced rounder styling and a range of drivetrain advancements.

All carpets, headliner, and door cards are also rather clean and are rather impressive for the age of the vehicle. 

Not only is the interior clean and well taken care of, but it’s also exceptionally comfortable and quite luxurious being the VX Limited model. 

When you initially think of 4x4s, you expect stiff seats and cheap plastic trim creaking over every bump, but Toyota really did a solid job with this car. It’s comfortable to sit in, and you’re treated to plenty of well-designed controls and comforts. 

Moving to the back of the car, you’ll find a cavernous carpeted boot, along with a set of snazzy Black Widow drawers.

These drawers are exceptionally rare, and feature tremendous build quality, unlike cheaper alternatives on the market. They provide a safe space to store items out of the way and are a great addition to this vehicle.

The drawers currently contain a spare cluster (should the new owner wish to swap one in to fix the speedo issue), and the original Toyota lock for the rear.

This Land Cruiser certainly looks the business and holds a fantastic road presence as it towers above the rest. 

It’s also in brilliant condition and has been well taken care of, with only a few minor marks here and there. This could quite easily be one of the cleaner Land Cruisers you are able to find on today’s market, as they’re typically a bit beat up from off-roading, which this vehicle has hardly engaged in.

All exterior trim pieces and details are also in great condition, along with the headlights, bash bar, spotlights and rear lights. All glass and mirrors have also been well taken care of, with no noticeable marks or scratches typically seen on vehicles of this age.

The car sits on a set of stylish 5-spoke wheels, which are wrapped in a beefy set of BFGoodrich All-Terrains with plenty of tread.

The wheels themselves are in spectacular condition, which is seldom seen on vehicles this old, let alone 4x4s.

The only known electrical item not currently in full working order is the speedometer, but the car has since been fitted with a much more accurate GPS speedo on the cluster. Otherwise, all electrical components and controls are believed to be in full working order.
