The Appeal

The History and Paperwork

• The car was supplied new in 1995 via Stratstone of London WC1
• An expensive car at that stage with a 1995 retail price of around £70,000
• The original owner retained the car until 2002
• At that stage Stratstone sold the car again to a London based peer for £34,950
• It is understood that the car was dry stored for a number of years from around 2015
• In 2021 the car was fully recommissioned by Fisher Performance & Prestige 
• The current owner acquired the car earlier in 2022
• It is only being sold today due to the loss of storage by the owner
• The car comes with a great paperwork archive
• This includes the current V5 in the name of the owner
• An Aston Martin certificate of conformity is also present
• The original book pack is on hand as is the current MOT valid until April 2023
• The highlight must be the original service folder, however
• This contains no less than 26 service stamps covering mileages from 184 to 116,982
• The vast majority of services were performed by Aston Martin dealers
• In the last 12 months a 10K service has been performed and the MOT advisories addressed
  
  

The Interior

• The interior of the DB7 is sumptuously trimmed and finished
• The car is finished in Parchment leather with accents Forrest Green
• The overall condition is excellent for the age and mileage of the car
• The high-backed front sports seats feature box pleated centres
• The big side bolsters are defined by contrasting piping in Forest Green
• There is some minor surface cracking to the driver’s bolster but it is well disguised
• The token rear seats are pristine and may have never been used based on condition
• The Wilton woollen carpets are original and in a great, used condition
• The suede effect headlining is original and does exhibit some minor areas of sagging
• The dashboard is predominantly finished in Forest Green, double-stitched leather
• There are accents of dark walnut veneer to the face of the dash
• This extends down into the centre console
• A Forest Green leather four spoke steering wheel is fitted
• This has lost some of its colour to the rim, but the condition of the leather is good
• This is a well specified car too with many luxury refinements in evidence
• These include electrically operated front seats and a heated windscreen
  
  

The Exterior

• The DB7 is presented in its original Pentland Green paintwork
• It’s a great heritage colourway and appears to be in good condition throughout
• The paint exhibits a deep and lustrous shine
• A small area of crazed paint was noted (and pictured) ahead of the nearside headlamp
• The panel gaps are tight and symmetrical with doors opening and closing easily
• During our visit, the headlamp shrouds were somewhat fogged 
• The cabin glass and other light lenses all appear original and pristine
• The car sits purposefully on Aston Martin supplied Alessio alloy wheels
• These are a spilt-rim wheel and finished in a gunmetal hue
• The condition is good with just a little crazing of the finish noted on close inspection
• A wheel centre was, annoyingly, lost on the way to our photo location
• The owner will endeavour to locate or replace this prior to sale
• The car has had three new tyres recently fitted
• We are advised that the underside has been recently pressure washed and wax oiled
• It’s a fine-looking car overall which has stood the test of time very well indeed
  
  

The Mechanics

• This DB7 is fitted with the Jaguar 3.2 litre AJ6, TWR built engine
• It is a light alloy, twin overhead camshaft, supercharged straight six featuring 32 valves
• A water-cooled Eaton, 'Rootes' type, camshaft driven supercharger is featured
• This generous specification delivered 335bhp and a healthy 361 Ib-ft of torque
• Power is sent to the rear wheels via a four-speed GM 4L80-E automatic gearbox
• At launch this configuration was good for a 160mph plus top speed
• 0-60 mph times were around the 6 second mark
• This example is fitted with a factory specified sports exhaust
• The under-bonnet presentation of the car is also very good
• Given this car’s fastidious maintenance it is reported to run very well indeed
