The Appeal
As American as baseball, hot dogs and apple pie, the Pontiac Firebird Trans Am shot to fame in the 1977 comedy action film ‘Smokey and the Bandit’ with a moustachioed Burt Reynolds at the helm. Since then, the T-topped, V8-engined sports car has been a favourite amongst enthusiasts and would spawn numerous new iterations until finally ceasing production in 2002.
We’re delighted to offer this fourth-generation example from 1995 which arrived in UK soil in 2000. Since then, it has had five registered keepers and reportedly benefits from a recent engine rebuild. Besides its rarity, this example is hard to miss thanks to its striking eagle artwork on the bonnet, a novel take on the Firebird motif applied to earlier cars.
