The Appeal
Whether it was Michael Caine getting “a bloomin’ move on” in The Italian Job, or fond memories of riding around in your parents’ back in the day, the Mini is sure to hold a special place in the hearts of millions of Brits. The innovative use of front-wheel drive made the most of its modest proportions, and when it comes to driving, a Mini is effectively a road-legal go-kart.
This 2000 Mayfair is one of the last original Minis. Exported to Japan, where small cars are of course exceedingly popular, it has since returned to the UK and has been registered since July 2020. As a late example, it comes highly equipped with air conditioning and an automatic gearbox - both of which greatly enhance this Mini’s usability. If you’re looking for a supremely usable modern classic, perhaps with inner-city driving in mind, this Mini Mayfair would be a superb choice.
