The Appeal

We admire the restraint of this remarkable C5 A6’s five keepers. Despite the draw of Audi’s superb mile-munching saloon, they have managed to keep the mileage to an ultra-restrained 7,173 miles from new.

The result is a beautifully preserved example of one of Audi’s best cars. The C5 emerged from the firm’s ‘imperial’ mid 90s period and gave buyers a sleek, high quality executive alternative to established Mercedes and BMWs. Buyers could choose from a huge combination of trim, engine and running gear options, and the first keeper of this car chose particularly well. It features the Quattro AWD system, the bullet-proof 2.5L TDI V6, here with the higher output 170bhp version, and a 6spd manual box.

Then there is this car’s calling card, the eye-catching special order Jasper Green Mica paintwork. The green theme continues inside to the leather and carpets. It is all, as you might expect of a car that as averaged less than 300 miles per year, in superb and barely used condition. We recommend checking the photos to see what we mean.

The vendor acquired the car a couple of years ago and has continued to maintain it well. Recent work includes a full service plus timing belt and water pump. We are told that it runs and drives very well. It comes with the added transparency of a lengthy MOT with no advisories.
