The Appeal
The BMW C1 is an enclosed scooter made by Bertone for BMW. Compared to a conventional scooter, the C1 offered extra safety features and protection from the elements. The rider would sit in a car-type seat (with a four-point seat-belt) and adopt a feet-forward posture. Introduced in 2000, it was available throughout Europe and the UK which received 1323 units. Considered prohibitively expensive in its day it now presents as a collectable bike with only 151 remaining on British roads. The C1 was discontinued in 2002.
Which brings us to this stand out example, presented in Black with a Tan saddle, this C1 has only covered 4250 miles in 23 years. Being a final year production model she is now very rare, this all weather scooter really has road presence in spades. Having just been subject to a full service costing just under £1000 the bike is ready to be enjoyed or kept in a collection as an appreciating and novel asset. The private number plate is included in the sale.
