The Appeal
The Ducati 748 is essentially a 916 with a smaller engine. That means impeccable handling, evocative styling and a more accessible way into Ducati ownership. All reasons why these later bikes are increasingly popular with enthusiasts.
Here is one for the collectors. The 748E replaced the ‘Biposto’ and this one has covered less than 1,000 kms from new (580 miles). It is in fabulous condition, helped by careful curation by the current keeper since he acquired it in 2016 on its arrival in the UK from South Africa.
It has full service history by Ducati specialists. In 2024 close to £1,500 was invested in recommissioning, including a full service, cambelt change and new fuel pump alongside other checks and updates.
With all that recent work plus an advisory-free MOT to August 2025, this bike could be bought to rack up some road miles, or preserved as part of your collection.
