Inside, the car is spotless. The ash grey seats are spotless, with hardly any sign of wear. There is no indication the car is creeping towards 50,000 miles and twenty years old what so ever.
Like most Mercedes from this era, the car's interior is very much a subtle and sensible affair with only the tiniest reminders of what the car is in the form of an AMG and V8 logo on the instrument panel. Gorgeous Capri Blue Metallic Paint

As the pictures show, this car is in fine order with very little sign of age or wear.
The Capri Blue Metallic is a fabulous colour on this car and a rare one, the first SL55 AMG we have seen ourselves in the flesh and quite honestly, we think it’s much superior to the usual silver or black models you see.
The 18’’ multi spoke alloys are all in pretty good order, with only the tiniest blemish on the front drivers.

Recent service
Runs and drives without issue
During our visit the car was manoeuvred without issue or fuss, it has been serviced by a mix of main dealer and specialists over its life, with the latest being in March 2021 and 250 miles ago by Mercedes Benz of Truro.
Further work was carried out at this time including supercharger V Belt replacements and a new starter battery. The rumble of these V8’s is unmistakable, the burbling 5.4L V8 is just as impressive on tick over as it is flat out, a true monstrous motor. r4.jpeg296.64 KB
