Everyone knows the Iconic Ford Mustang, first launched back in 1964, the Mustang was an instant sales success and helped coin the phrase American Muscle Car.

After several versions and many decades Ford completely redesigned and introduced the 2005 mustang, featuring many styling cues from the original with its canted nose and big grille up front with the sides and roofline echoing the distinctive early fastback models.

The GT V8 with its 4.6 litre variable valve-timing engine packed a useful 300 BHP and new suspension and bigger brakes put the car firmly back in the performance car bracket.

Imported from Florida in 2021 by the current owner the car is believed to have had only 3 owners in the US where it enjoyed regular maintenance and servicing but not actually covering that many miles.

The car features all the usual Mustang equipment with electric seats, cruise control, air conditioning, 5-speed automatic transmission and a rear spoiler delete which keeps the car looking nice and subtle, for a Mustang at least!

First registered with DVLA in 2021 the car had its headlights changed and rear lights upgraded to LED units to achieve UK compliance.

The car comes with its V5c showing only 1 UK owner, an owner’s wallet with handbook, 2 sets of keys and a full year’s MOT. There are some service receipts and a CarFax printout confirming the cars US history and provenance.

The private plate it currently wears is available by negotiation.

The new Mustang's interior is unique and matches the exterior design theme. Obvious old-school influences are found in the instrument panel -- a dual-hooded dash with aluminium accent panels pays obvious homage to the 1967-'68 Mustang, as do the big speedometer and rev-counter, circular air vents and plump, round steering wheel hub. 

Switches and handles feel substantial, and build quality is top-notch.

There is some slight wear to the medium parchment leather on the driver’s seat bolster and a small nick in the cover for the hood mechanism but other than that the car is pretty much immaculate inside.

It also features a factory upgraded sound system with a serious looking sub-woofer in the boot.

Finished in the very fetching Windveil Blue clearcoat Metallic paint colour the car looks great from every angle, with no dents, scuffs or scratches anywhere.

The 17” Premium painted cast aluminium wheels are all without any kerb scratches or marks and all the tyres have plenty of life left in them.

The power convertible Parchment roof functions without any drama and is in excellent condition both inside and out.

Everything is reported to be working perfectly with the car starting and driving exactly as it should, with plenty of horsepower on tap.

Since arrival in the UK the car has done about 200 miles and its last service was done prior to importation last year. Both the underside of the car and under the bonnet look clean and in very good condition.

Ford did a fine job with the 2005 Ford Mustang - not only in terms of styling, but also in performance, handling, ride dynamics and basic ergonomics, refreshing one of their most famous models to bring it bang up to date and relevant again.

This then is a great and very useable everyday car should you want it to be with great provenance, very low mileage and in exceptional condition throughout.
