In 2005 enthusiasts of BMW’s high performance M6 breathed a sigh of relief. It was back. And it was better than ever.
The E63 put M6 performance on an entirely different level to anything that had gone before. Equipped with the firm's S85 V10 it could be driven in two performance modes. The highest provided close to 500bhp and devastatingly acceleration.
It is unlikely you’ll find another E63 quite like this one. Highly specified and with less than 18,000kms from new, it is very close to ‘as new’ condition. A meticulous service history with 21 entries supports the impression of a carefully curated car.
As these cars approach 20 years old they are attracting the collector interest and surely this is one of the best.

The E63 was considered controversial when it arrived in 2005 but Bangle’s clever design, including that folded rear boot line, has evolved into a handsome and well regarded profile. There are echoes of the earlier 6-Series cars but this svelte coupe is very much its own design.
It looks particularly good in the silver metallic of this car with its purposeful five spoke factory alloys. That is complemented by a high specification black Merino leather interior accented by lovely Madeira Nutwood veneers. It is all in the sort of condition you would surely expect of such a low mileage, fastidiously maintained car. This is very close to being an 18 year old new car.

BMW’s S85 V10 was a step change for the firm and its M-cars. This engine was not just about the headline numbers – up to 500bhp was on tap – but how it was delivered. High revving and accompanied with an aural soundtrack that telegraphed its capabilities, this was performance with the excitement dialled up to 11.
Clever telematics meant power could be delivered in two modes – an ‘everyday’ driving mode with up to 400bhp on tap and a more focussed approach where close to 500bhp was available.
This exceptionally low mileage car has a comprehensive service history that is close to perfect. There have been 21 visits since it was first registered, covering regular service work – which has been undertaken irrespective of mileage – and other work as and when the car has required it. Clearly this is not a car where maintenance has been skimped on.
