The Appeal
The XKR 4.2-S Edition was introduced to celebrate Jaguar's sporting credentials - hence the distinctive chequered-flag adorned 'white badge' on the nose. Just 200 of these cars were reportedly built to celebrate the end of X100 production and came with a host of special features including bespoke paint colours and that distinctive badge. These are impressively spec'd cars, pairing the formidable 400bhp supercharged V8 with Brembo performance brakes, distinctive badging, and special veneers - creating one of the most collectable modern Jags on the market.
This car is finished in the striking combination of Jaguar Racing Green metallic over ivory leather with an elm dashboard, which creates a very fanciful place for driver and passenger alike. It rides on rare BBS Perseus split-rim alloys, refurbished by the previous owner. Having spent the vast majority of its life in dry garage storage, the car presents very well for its 20 years.
The current owner enlisted Jaguar specialist Tom Lenthall Ltd to carry out a thorough inspection upon purchase in 2024, after which a comprehensive programme of work was completed including a full gearbox service, engine V-mount replacement, and anti-roll bar component renewal. Both sills and the passenger floor pan were also proactively repaired after early signs of corrosion were identified, and the vendor states the car is now solid throughout. image.png1.68 MB
