The Appeal
The C216 brought back the sort of timeless, elegant coupe style for which Mercedes-Benz’s classic sporting cars are known. And few 2+2 GTs are as well built and sumptuous.
This car’s Obsidian Black paintwork is a neat complement to the 20-inch AMG alloys and light drizzle of chromework that accents the sleek pillarless design. It is a very well-kept car that has been part of the current keeper’s collection since 2022, during which it has been stored in a heated and dehumidified garage. He is now thinning down his collection, creating an opportunity for buyers to acquire a very well-maintained example.
On acquisition, he sent the car to the Mercedes-Benz main dealer in Edinburgh for a thorough ‘no expense spared’ check over. Whatever needed rectifying, however minor, was attended to, resulting in a £8,300 bill that covered suspension, brake, servicing and other work.
Since all that work the vendor has only covered 600 miles. That notwithstanding, it is a sign of his approach that he handed the car to a local specialist for a ‘B’ service in October last year.
The car naturally comes to market with lengthy, advisory free MOT. We’re impressed by the condition, specification and recent provenance of this car and we suspect you may be too.
