Inside the Carrera 4S is a beautiful place to be. The comfortable black leather, electric and heated seats are in excellent condition with just the smallest amount of colour loss to the driver's bolster. The passenger seat is excellent, and the rear seats don’t appear to have been used a great deal. The door cards are free from any scuffs or damage, and the switches for the windows are in good condition with no real wear to them.
The dashboard is in good order, with no scuffs to mention. The instruments are working as they should and have no warning lights displayed when the engine is running; the odometer was showing a reading of 36,472 miles at the time of our visit. All the switchgear is in good condition with no signs of wear to the lettering on any buttons or stalks. The head unit has satellite navigation built in.
The carpets are in excellent condition and have a set of Porsche mats to protect them, which are also in good order. Looking up, the Alcantara headlining is excellent, with no issues to point out. Finished in the brilliant Arctic Silver, the paintwork is in excellent condition, as expected for the mileage covered. There are a couple of small stone chips on the front bumper, but these are minimal. Walking around the car, there are no dings or dents to mention, and the panels align with an equal gap. The Xenon headlights are bright and clear with no chips to them, as are the lower lights.
Looking from the side, the fantastic and classic 911 shape doesn't disappoint. The windows are in excellent order with no scratches, and the seals are also in good condition with no signs of shrinking.
Being the 4S, the hips are slightly wider, which looks amazing. The car has rear parking sensors fitted, which are working correctly. The spoiler activates as it should or can be raised via the dash-mounted switch. The lights are in good condition with no splits or cracks.
Fitted with the factory 19” alloy wheels, these have a small amount of corrosion to some of the spokes, and the centre caps have a small amount of water ingress. There’s no denying the sound of the Porsche flat-six engine is fantastic, and with just 36,472 miles covered, this 2007 3.8 litre is in excellent health. The car fires up without hesitation from cold and with no signs of smoke. The vendor reports that the car runs as it should, and there are no issues to mention. Fitted with the desirable six-speed manual gearbox, the change is precise and tight, and the car pulls well through all gears.
Looking under the car, there were no signs of any oil leaks, and everything looked in good order. The vendor has also had the underside treated with a clear coat protection to help prevent any unwanted corrosion from creeping in.
The car sits as it should, and no knocks or bangs are reported to be coming from either corner. Some suspension work was carried out in 2020, which saw new top mounts and fork arms replaced. The brake calipers are finished in guards red, which are in excellent shape and reported to bring the car to a stop in a straight line, with no juddering through the pedal.
