The Appeal
We pity Porsche’s engineers, because they have the tough task of continuously making the firm’s products better. Case in point: the 987 Boxster S. The first 3.2L car was really good, but the revised 3.4L model was considerably better, thanks in part to a power hike to 295bhp.
This early 3.4L S is classically finished in Guards Red, features the desirable 6spd manual box and has covered less than 60,000 miles from new. It has been well maintained, the service book showing regular attention by main dealers and marque specialists. The last service was in July 2025 and included plugs and brake fluid. The water pump has also been recently replaced. The vendor tells us that the Bridgestone tyres are also new.
With MOT valid to May 2026 containing no advisories, this is a really smart, well-specified example of the hugely usable and entertaining 987.
The vendor says:
“I think the vehicle is a fantastic car drive great fun plenty of tork very comfortable. The car is happy to be doing 75 to 80 miles an hour or cruising around your local town at 30 miles an hour. It is a great example of the modern day sports vehicle.”
