The Appeal

The Robin Hood Super Spec is a lightweight, open-top kit car in the spirit of the Lotus Seven, built for raw driving thrills with a focus on performance. With only 150 Super Spec examples ever produced, these are notably rarer than the more common Robin Hood variants.

This example was professionally built at ASR Racing, assembled entirely from new parts around a 2.0-litre Rover T16 crate engine paired with a Ford MT75 five-speed manual gearbox. The chassis features coil-over suspension with adjustable Gaz shocks, and it sits on Yokohama tyres all round. Full wet weather gear is included for those braver days out.

Having covered just 3,111 miles since build, it has recently undergone light recommissioning following a period in storage, which included a fresh cam belt and service. The vendor states it presents as a 3,000-mile car should. Accompanied by a large build file and will be supplied with a 12-month MOT, the vendor describes this Super Spec as turnkey and ready to be enjoyed.
