The Appeal
Launched in 2009, Porsche’s Panamera was the answer to those who wanted 911 performance but needed four seats. Renowned not just for its driving and handling capability but also for high levels of refinement, engineering excellence and outstanding build quality, the car carried a premium price-tag and the GTS iteration was the go-to for buyers who wanted supercar performance combined with luxury.
HK 63 ZCY was specified with just about every expensive option available, taking the car’s price from its original £73, 664 to an eye-watering £110, 356 – and that despite a discount of more than £2100. This really is the ultimate-spec Panamera, and it’s been carefully looked after and scrupulously maintained.

Although registered in late November 2013, HK 63 ZCY is a model-year 2014 post-facelift Panamera, when Porsche gave the car new headlamps, indicators, bumpers, tailgate, larger vents and a relocated number plate holder as well as new LED tail-light clusters. The revamp did much to counter criticisms of the original car’s styling.
The car has been meticulously serviced, at Porsche dealers and specialists and has the paperwork to prove it, including a replacement service book which the vendor has had stamped and authorised by the Porsche dealers.
It’s worn several personal plates during its time, as evidenced by the previous V5 certificates included with the paperwork, but has now been re-registered with its original number.

Take your seat behind the wheel and it’s no surprise that the Panamera has such a reputation for luxury and refinement. It’s a supremely comfortable driving environment, and in this case one that has clearly been cherished – it’s all in outstanding condition. The alcantara leather seats, in both front and back, are virtually unmarked, while the carpets have been protected by overmats and are clean with no signs of wear.
In the glove box, the original ‘Porsche Motorsport’ branded pen is still in its holder – yet another example of how successive owners have striven to keep that car as original and unmolested as possible.
The SportDesign alcantara steering wheel was an expensive option but is still in excellent condition.
The smart aluminium dashboard and centre-console are in immaculate condition, while the Sport Chrono package option includes a smart analogue stopwatch and clock in the top of the dashboard.
In the rear luggage compartment, the back seats fold down to provide a surprisingly capacious load area, and the original branded case for a bottle of oil is still present. The boot lining is in excellent condition, while beneath it all the original accessories (toolkit, compressor, towing eye, canister of sealant) are in place, and look unused.

The Panamera’s 2013 facelift gave the car a more elegant look, and this example’s sleek lines are certainly enhanced by the GT Silver metallic paint – a £2500 optional extra. The car looked amazing in the spring sunshine on the day of our photo shoot, and closer inspection reveals that the paintwork is in superb condition, with only a few very minor stonechips evident. Similarly, the black Panamera Sport 20in wheels were a £2000 extra and are in outstanding condition. The tyres look to be very recent.
There’s a retractable towbar (an £825 extra), not shown in the pictures.
The Porsche Dynamic Lighting System+ LED headlights were another £2000+ extra and the vendor reports that they provide superb visibility at night.
Parking is made easier by the Park Assist system which provides a reversing camera and ‘surround view’.

The Panamera is renowned not only for its searing performance but also for its remarkable agility, build quality and reliability. This one has keyless entry and starting, and runs with a lovely V8 note. The vendor reports that it’s a fabulous drive, and the first owner added expensive extras to enhance the GTS’s already fantastic on-road capability – ceramic composite brakes (£6248), sports exhaust, Sport Chrono Plus pack and PDLS+ headlights.
Summary
With a spec-sheet probably one of the best ever seen on a UK-market Panamera, this really is the ultimate four-seater performance car. Combine all those expensive extras with a comprehensive folder of paperwork, and the model’s reputation for reliability and robustness, and you have a dead-cert future classic waiting to be driven and enjoyed.
