The Appeal
There’s a reason the R107 SL remains so numerous and that’s because they were such a brilliant product. Not only did they sell like hot cakes when new - in spite of a heavy price tag, they were also beautifully engineered and so stand the test of time. Here we have a US supplied 450 SL, equipped with the powerful 4.5-litre engine.
Offered in non-running order, we’re advised that this car will require some work before it is ready for the road once more. Once back up and running, we’re sure it will provide many miles of serene, V8 powered cruising, adding a dash of style to wherever it goes.
