Like every E-Class before it, the fourth-generation of Mercedes-Benz’s mid-size exec was a large, sturdy executive saloon with exceptional ride quality and a hewn-from-granite build. From its launch in 2002, it win a plethora of much-deserved awards.
Whether as a cosseting saloon or an ultra-useful estate, the W211 was one of the best cars of its era and today the nicest survivors are very much sought-after.
