Here we have a true, iconic, classic British sports car! This Lotus Eclat was first registered in June 1985, having just 6 previous keepers in that time.
The 2. 2 4 cylinder engine pulls well with no issues, the Toyota 5 speed gearbox is precise and direct. On the road, the suspension and brakes all work as they should, possibly even better than when it left the factory..
The paintwork appears to be original and still produces a nice deep, glossy shine. The interior is in very good condition, the drivers seat, which is normally prone to bolster damage is very good on this example.
A history file backs up the genuine mileage, previous MOT’s going back to the early 1990’s, lots of receipts (it is a lotus after all…)!
The wheels have recently been refurbished in original Silver, tyres have great tread and are of a quality manufacturer.
Will come with 12 months MOT and serviced by our business partners TR Enterprises.
To summarise, we have here a super example of a British classic, slide into the driver’s seat, put Sheena Easton on the radio playing ‘for your eyes only’ and you could imagine being Roger Moore sent to retrieve a stolen “ATAC” system that could be misused for controlling British military submarines!!
